Why did Roma Gypsy Holocaust never end?
We would like to raise an awareness to the plight of the worlwide Gypsies in the aftermath of the WWII and the Balkan Civil Wars of the 1990s. There are thousands of misplaced Gypsy families from Macedonia & Croatia without any governmental help nor social services. You can see hungry little kids begging for little food or money all over Europe and Asia Minor. Gypsies are denied basic rights to hold jobs, housing or police protection. For the last 50 years the Swiss government forcibly removed thousands of Gypsy babies for adoption. Gypsies were gassed by the Nazis and persecuted by the Soviets and the "civilized" West European countries.
Gypsies NEVER received a penny for the suffering in the WWII from Germany or any other country. Today Romanian Government denies Roma even the right to be called Roma. They censor newspapers & delete all references to Roma-gypsy. Only the lilly-white Romanians can be called Roma. Slovakia, previously of Chechoslovakia, beats up, jails & deports nomad Romas.
In the 1930s boats with Jewish refugees were torpedoed or turned back away from american coasts. Today we turn a blind eye toward the most miserable people in the Continent.
Jewish communities have a great deal to offer to the Gypsies in terms of financial help, education & decent housing. But even more important is to use all the available resources to pressure the German government to pay reparations to the Gypsy communities for the murder of 2 million European Gypsies and to institute a way to deal humanely with a Gypsy population in all European Union countries. That should include granting full EU citizenship, affordable housing, kids education & jobs. The EU populations should be educated and sensitized to the plight of the Gypsy.
